“Tranquility,” the Zephyr Cove mansion-estate of Tommy Hilfiger co-founder Joel Horowitz, which debuted on the market with a staggering nine-figure price tag, has reportedly changed hands for an eight-figure sum.
The Wall Street Journal reports that the oasis on Lake Tahoe has sold for $48 million. The lakefront property, which features a 20,000-square-foot mansion set on 210 scenic acres, instantly became one of the priciest pieces of real estate in the United States when it listed in 2006 for $100 million. It saw its price chopped to $75 million in 2011 and last listed for that price before being pulled from the MLS in October.
