Georgia’s $6.45M Casa Genotta Was Home to a Literary Legend

February 27th, 2015 12:49 PM by Teresa Molina

Legendary author Ernest Hemingway famously kept Key West, FL, as his retreat.

Playwright Eugene O’Neill had his own retreat, in Sea Island, GA.

And now, so could you. The recently relisted Casa Genotta, located on a tiny island off Georgia, has a storied past. The famous playwright, who died in 1953, built this beachfront abode in the 1930s. His writing desk is still there, along with some of his letters. (Alas, those aren’t for sale.)

“The person who buys this will probably have a wonderful eye for history,” said listing agent Don Lewis.
